A strange request from us to create a cake that looked like a wheel of Stilton cheese. Before I get to the result I... want to mention the service. Megan was extremely responsive and sensitive to the situation through the COVID-19 lockdown and gave amazing reassurance very and advice throughout the process. When the cake arrived, the artistry took our breath away. It was beautiful and very realistic. The cake itself tastes beautiful and the white chocolate ganache is gorgeous. I can finally now review this wonderful page. After hinting to my husband for over 6 months that I would like a unicorn... cake from Megan, finally my birthday has come and I couldn't have been any happier. Not only does it look beautiful, but the attention to detail is second to none. Now down to the most important part which is taste. The butter icing is to die for and the sponge was so soft and delicious. The Essex Cake Shop has now made 2 rather important cakes for us in the space of a month, the first for my dads 75th ,... a stunning silver star cake and then for my daughters 6th birthday a beach hut cake. Both were truly amazing to look at and scrumptious to eat and received rather a lot of compliements. Not only is the Essex Cake Shop an excellent cake maker but a creative one - who listens to what you want, is able to put her own mark on it. I asked for a twinkle little star tiered themed 1st Birthday cake, I had a few ideas so sent a couple of images and... asked for a banana tier & chocolate tier!
